Elements (if viewed online)

Publisher, Title (online at Date of Retrieval) Pinpoint
Thomson Reuters, Australasian Dispute Resolution (online at 4 July 2024) [2.25].
  • Include author/s at the start if clearly identifiable. Author information may be available from information symbols associated with commentary services in law databases.
  • Publisher:
    • LexisNexis — for Lexis+ Australia looseleaf commentary
    • Thomson Reuters — for Westlaw Australia looseleaf commentary
    • Wolters Kluwer — for CCH iKnowConnect looseleaf commentary
  • Date — date accessed in full, preceded by 'online at' and enclosed within parentheses
  • Pinpoint — generally paragraph numbers enclosed in square brackets. If a paragraph symbol ¶ appears before the paragraph number (common in CCH commentary), insert this symbol before the pinpoint number instead of using square brackets
    • Use Insert > Symbol in Microsoft Word to create the paragraph (¶) symbol.
