EndNote troubleshooting

Because Endnote reads author names as if they were individual names, organizational authors may display incorrectly, e.g. Australia, C. o. instead of Commonwealth of Australia. To fix this, add a comma to the end of an organizational name: Commonwealth of Australia,

The comma will not appear within the formatted reference. See Endnote support for more information.
EndNote Online (or EndNote Web) is an online version of EndNote, allowing you to store references online, sync your library across multiple computers, and to share references with others.
You don't have to have an EndNote Online account to use the desktop version of EndNote. Be sure to have a backup of your Library before syncing with your EndNote Online account. You can only sync one library with your EndNote Online account.
EndNote is compatible with a range of PC and Mac systems. When installing EndNote, it will install the Cite While You Write tab into your Word program. For a full list of compatible word processing programs see EndNote Compatibility. For Apple Pages, see Add citations to your Pages document with the EndNote plug-in and Add a bibliography in Pages on Mac.
Fixing an EndNote syncing problem will depend on your set up, including whether you're using Mac OS or Windows and which EndNote version is installed. If you're having difficulty troubleshooting a syncing issue, contact the EndNote support team with details of your problem.
See the Clarivate help page for more information on using sync.
