  • Oxford referencing style does not use URLs, permalinks or DOIs for journal articles found online or in databases.
  • Where an online article has no page numbers check the PDF version which usually appears near the title or abstract.

Standard formatting:

Footnote

Author First and Last Name, 'Title of Article', Title of Journal, volume number, issue number, year, page number(s).

Bibliographic citation

Author Last Name, First Name. 'Title of Article', Title of Journal, volume number, issue number, year, page range.
