Surveying standards

Standards are official publications that describe specifications, procedures and guidelines. They aim to ensure the safety and consistency of products, services and systems. Standards are created, approved and published by international, regional or national standards organisations as well as industry and professional associations and societies. 

Australian Standards (AS) are the official national standards of Australia.

You can find and access the full text of all current Australian standards through Standards Online (this database also contains some SAI, ISO, IEC and European standards).

A note on standards: Standards not part of a current Library subscription can only be purchased for UniSQ staff and HDR students, if cost and the user licence allows. A decision on whether to purchase a standard is made at the discretion of the Library.
